ClearStreak — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 27, 2026 (Updated October 17, 2026) · App: ClearStreak for Android (com.eight64zeros.clearstreak) · Publisher: 864zeros LLC

ClearStreak is a local-first habit, focus, and recovery companion. By default, your data stays on your device. There is no account, no server, no tracking, and no ads. This policy describes exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version:
  • Everything you create in ClearStreak — your journeys, check-ins, journal notes, streaks, Focus Pack preferences, and support contacts — is stored only on your device.
  • Your journal notes and check-ins are held in an encrypted database (AES-256 via SQLCipher) that is unlocked with your device's biometric or screen lock.
  • We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal or recovery data. There is no account to sign into and no backend server to send it to.
  • The app cannot back your sensitive recovery data up to the cloud — it is explicitly excluded from Android cloud backup — so it never leaves the phone through us.

1. What data ClearStreak stores (on your device only)

ClearStreak stores the information you enter locally on your phone so it can track your progress:

Sensitive / wellness information: Because habit and recovery records are deeply personal, your check-ins and journal notes are stored in a separately encrypted SQLCipher AES-256 database and are only accessible after you unlock the app with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN/pattern/password. This data stays strictly on your device.

2. What ClearStreak does NOT do

3. Permissions the app uses, and why

Screen security: ClearStreak sets Android's FLAG_SECURE window flag by default to block screenshots, screen recording, and recent-app switcher previews from exposing your private records.

External handoffs: The crisis Rescue screen can hand off to your phone's own dialer, SMS messaging, or maps app when you explicitly tap a helpline, your saved support contact, or "find a meeting." ClearStreak does not place calls or send messages itself, and it shares nothing with those apps beyond the phone number or search query you tapped.

4. Payments

In-app unlocks on Google Play are processed directly by Google Play Billing. Google handles the transaction; ClearStreak receives only an on-device confirmation from the Google Play Store app that an unlock is active. We never see, process, or store your payment card or billing details. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for how Google Play processes transactions.

5. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives exclusively on your device, you are in complete control of it:

6. Children

ClearStreak is intended for adults (18+) managing their own habits, focus, and recovery, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

7. Not an emergency or medical service

ClearStreak provides supportive self-management tools and public-domain philosophical and inspirational reflections; it is not a medical device, not clinical therapy, and not an emergency service. The crisis Rescue screen surfaces third-party lifelines (such as 988 and SAMHSA) for convenience. In a medical or mental-health emergency, call your local emergency number or 988 immediately.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how ClearStreak handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date at the top of this document.
